About Machine Vision:
Instead of human eyes, machine vision is a technical way for
detecting. CMOS and CCD are two types of machine vision products
that are used to capture the product images on-line. Then the
images are transferred to the image processing system and converted
into digital signals according to the pixel distribution,
lightness, height and color and so on. The digital signal is
calculated to get the features of the objective, including area,
number, position, and length. Comparing these features with the
default values and tolerance, the system will then export the
detecting result like size, angle, numbers, qualified/disqualified,
yes/no and control the actions of other equipments accordingly.
A machine vision system typically includes light, lens,
CCD camera, image processing unit (or image capturing card), image
processing software, I/O unit and so on.
